The Clothes Doctor also can provide expert packing and shipping for your wedding gown so that it arrives at your Destination Wedding location.

A few helpful hints if you are planning a
destination wedding:

• Pick a simple gown which is easy to take in a car, plane or ship. Remember space is limited.
  
  
• Protect your gown by putting it in a clean garment bag.
  
  
• Use a Bust Form to help shape the gown and then stuff lots of tissue to keep the gown from being crushed while it is in the bag.
  
  
• If traveling by plane, check with your airline to see if arrangements can be made to “carry on” your gown and then hang your gown in a storage cabin. If it must be checked, you should use a large tissue stuffed box or separate suitcase to protect the bridal gown from being crushed.
  
  
• The Clothes Doctor has special shipping boxes which will fit in most airline overhead compartments and can assist you in packing your treasured wedding gown for shipping to your destination wedding. In many cases we can contact another member of The Association of Wedding Gown Specialists and can ship the gown to them and have it steamed and pressed and ready for your special day when you arrive at your wedding destination.
  

Southern California Destination Weddings

Please contact The Clothes Doctor and discuss your Southern California destination wedding with one of our wedding gown specialists. We will provide complimentary advice about shipping your gown and you can even have it shipped to our location prior to your wedding day.

We will steam and prepare the gown prior to your arrival and arrange to have it ready and waiting at the location of your choice. After the wedding we will clean and provide our Museum Quality ™ preservation service and return the gown back to your new home.
